At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were all pressured to stock up on essentials for our homes. Now that the hoarding has plateaued and manufacturers have been able to adjust to demand, toilet paper, paper towel, sanitizer and disinfectants are back on store shelves. Are you left with a sizeable inventory in your pantry? Please consider donating some of your excess to your local animal shelter!
Countless animals in the community rely on local shelters for life-saving care. COVID-19 doesn’t change that fact. Because of this, they have continued operations through the pandemic. They must. The animals need them. But they have taken significant precautions to keep their team and community safe while continuing care for the animals who need it most.
This commitment to care and safety has depleted their supplies. Local shelters are always grateful to receive donations to support their efforts, but in recent months they have been appreciated more than ever! Please check with your local shelter for their wish list, detailing items they need most.
In general, most shelters are in need of the following;
- Disinfecting wipes
- HE laundry detergent
- Bleach
- Paper towels
- Wet and dry pet food
- Clay clumping cat litter
- Cat and dog toys
- Copy paper
Did you adopt your fur-baby from a shelter? What better way to thank them for uniting you than to pay it forward? Your support will help another find the love of their life as well!
