I think most of us would agree that one of our kids’ favorite pastimes is birdwatching. Even Finley, who’s mostly blind, loves spending hours in the window enjoying their activity. It is one of the few things that actually engages her.
Because it brings her so much enjoyment, I wanted to build upon that by adding a birdfeeder outside her favorite window. There are a cluster of trees there that will accommodate beautifully. This is the front of my house however, so style is equally important as function here.

Amy Adams of Perch! designed this gorgeous feeder in 2002. It’s iconic and images of it have spread across the internet like wildfire. Unfortunately, it is no longer available.
